As you may remember, the February 19th posting reports on my Justin Bieber Experience, or at least about going to his movie. By now I've pretty much forgotten about the movie except for one small item. Miley Cyrus' short dress!
It is the type of dress that gives men of my age a smile on the face and hope for the future. The storm clouds of the day open up to sunshine, the birds sing in the trees. The sickly sweet scent of cherry blossoms float on the breeze....
That aside, what I've been wondering all this time is - How does she keep that short dress from riding up? If you are lucky enough to have seen her performance, no doubt you've been wondering the same thing. Oh Miley! Do tell us your secret!
During the performance she runs and jumps all around like a crazy monkey and doesn't appear to ever pull down her skirt. Not once. It never rides up. How can that be? It appears unnatural.
I've been investigating this phenomenon. There are 2 possibilities that I can think of:
- There are special strips you can buy that strap to the leg and stick to the dress, holding it in place.
- I've been told that another trick is to spray the upper legs with hair spray. That makes the dress cling perfectly. Sounds a bit icky, though.
Whatever method, it worked!
