Iraq and Afghanistan Cooling More Than NASA Budget

The annual cost for cooling troops in Iraq and Afghanistan is $20B! This is according to Steve Anderson, a retired brigadier general who was Gen. Petraeus' chief logistician in Iraq.

How much is $20B? This is $1B more than the entire annual budget of NASA! (which is $19B)

We earthlings really have our priorities wrong.

And to make matters worse: at least 1000 soldiers have been killed transporting fuel during these wars. The majority of the $20B cost comes from fuel needed to heat and cool tents on the front lines.

Who should we complain to? I doubt a letter to your congressman would do any good.
